Landry 4 months

My Sweet Landry:

Where did this month go? You were 4 months before I even knew it. Between months 3-4 we have noticed the biggest change in you. You have managed to sleep through most nights this month.

Four Months:

Weight - 14 lbs. 12 oz. (74th %)
Height - 25.5 in  (50th %)
Head circumference - 42 cm (89th %)

Here is Finley's Four month stats

- Wear size 2 diapers
- Wear size 3 month and 3-6 month jammies
- Still nursing evenings and weekends
- I'm still pump at least 4 times a day
- Your daddy has been giving you formula
- At Laura's you are still bottle fed BM. (about 5 ounces each feeding)
- Over the last week you have been eating almost 6 oz at each feeding
- Bedtime ranges between 8 - 8:30 pm
- I have been giving you a bath with your sister, which really helps me out. Both you and Finley love it.
- You are rolling over from tummy to back, and are very close to doing back to tummy
- Nana fed you your first bowl of rice cereal - She couldn't get it to you fast enough!
- You are laughing and babbling so much
- Your sleep patterns have really been somewhat better. Sleeping good at night and naps are getting more of a pattern. Morning, lunchtime, afternoon and usually short evening nap.
- You also love for the blanket to touch your face
- Still love to be swaddled and I continue to put you in a sleep sack for bedtime (you love it)
- Introduced the exersaucer
- Swing is the name of your game you love your swing

You are developing your own little personality and you are wonderful to be around. I'm on the fence whether   you are going to be a daddy's girl like your big sister because you love to held by your momma. (And I love it too) I could never get your sister to sit with me at night, she always wanted her daddy. (And still does)

New House = New Garden

At our last house we had an itsy bitsy teeny tiny garden compared to our NEW garden! Our last garden was small and you could only pick from one side, but this year it really has grown. Last year we planted yellow squash, zucchini, tomatoes, and jalapenos and all did great. Over the last couple weeks we have been working on our new garden. It is going to be lovely. First started with a dump truck full of dirt that dumped this in my driveway!

Proceeded by Finley wanting to play in it of course. It sat there for a few days until we were completely ready and then it began...

A girl after her own daddy's heart

With the help of my FIL and a couple tractors the dirt started to go in.

There was a time when I (yep, me) was shoveling the dirt as they dumped, but of course they dumped way faster than me.

Finley wanting to help shovel.

We kind of had a team work effort going here. Jeremy would dig the hole, my FIL would water, Finley would plant and I would cover with dirt.

We started with transporting our onions that had been growing in the garage for the last few weeks. We also did tomatoes that day. Bring on the cucumbers, jalapenos, and jalapenos! I can't wait for the first pick!

Zilker kite festival

Over the weekend was the annual Zilker Park Kite Festival. A friend of mine and I decided to take the girls and enjoy the day. The parking was horrible and if I had been by myself I may have decided to turn around and go home thinking this will never work with my two kiddos, but we stuck it out and had a great time!

She did not want me to hold her

The shark kite. It really was an awesome sight to see. There were so many kites, it was amazing that not more of them were not tangled.

Finley and her BFF Avery

The Octopus kite! The girls loved this one!

Landry even watched the kites!

The girls being silly. They had so much fun dancing to the music and watching the kites.

Kitchen Flood

It was a typical Friday morning in the Morris house waiting on daddy to arrive so I could go to work. Finley has recently decided that she LOVES to play in the water clean the dishes in the sink. I usually let her help me at night after dinner. This morning I was doing a thousand things and I saw Finley 'washing' a few cups in the sink and thought nothing about it. Until I heard... "Mommy, I making a mess!" Through a mother's eyes of a toddler she is ALWAYS making a mess of something! Of course, I tell her I'll be right there. Then I hear... "Mommy, the mess is getting bigger!" I thought to my self, hmmm.....

What could possibly be making such a mess??

Wait for it.......

Yep, Finley managed to flood the kitchen with at least a half inch of water on the counter tops and floor! She looked so sad, but said, "Mommy, I called for you". How was I suppose to get mad if I didn't come when she called me the first time!! I turned off the water, giggled and got some towels. Her daddy came home while I was cleaning up and she told him, "Daddy, DO NOT go in the kitchen, okay??"And he giggled, too!
