Our Second Family
We had a family fun night at the fire station. The guys cooked for all the wives and kids, then let the kids play outside on the fire truck. I have to say, we ALL had such a good time. Three out of the four kids were two years old and they had the best time. After dinner, the guys took the kids on a ride in the truck and then hooked up the hose to the hydrant and let each of them shoot it.
Finley hanging with her daddy.
Going for a ride with daddy and Miles - Finley has developed a new crush on Miles. I can only imagine what it would be like if they actually dated when they were older... ahhh!
Getting instructions from Captain Jewell
Finley getting to shoot the hose
Part of our second family lives in Waco, so we make the best of our time when we can spend it together. We look forward to our next fun night!

Family News
So on Finley's 2nd Birthday, we had all the grandparents here to help us celebrate, but what they didn't know came as a huge surprise to all of them. Several hours into the party for once, everyone was outside. I decided it was a great time to get a picture with Finley, Corbyn (cousins) and all the grandparents. Like most people I said, "say cheese", and snapped the picture.
It wasn't great, but I didn't care. The real surprise came in the next photo... I said "Eh, let's do one more, but this time I want you to say Paige is pregnant!"
They got the biggest surprise of the day.... and I got this picture to remember it for a lifetime.
Here is our little peanut at almost 12 weeks.
I am currently 16 weeks and it's A-M-A-Z-I-N-G how fast things grow the second time!
Port Aransas
A few weeks ago, we took a family trip to the coast. We did meet my in-laws their also, but it was our little family of three's FIRST beach vacation. My FIL has an offshore fishing boat so we were able to do a little bit of bay fishing and dolphin watching whenever we liked. I was looking forward to just getting away, not cooking and having some R&R. And we did just that.
This was the view from our room. Pretty nice, huh? We stayed at The Dunes Condominiums, and it was great. We will definitely stay there again.
When we arrived at the ferry, we got Finley our of her car seat and she sat in her daddy's lap as we rode the ferry across. She said we were on a "Big Boat"
This was Finley's first time down to the beach. She was a little hesitant, but willing to go with mommy and daddy. She has been talking much more over the last few weeks at home and really big into saying , "look, mommy... pool!", every time we would pass the community pool at home. When she saw the ocean for the first time she said, "Mommy, daddy, look... BIG POOL!". Over all I think she had a great time!
This is our bay fishing trip we took. The guys didn't have any luck the day before and I actually caught the most fish the day we went. Unfortunately, we didn't catch enough to take back with us. But we sure did have fun.
We managed to snag two family photos while we were there.
The good thing about having a pepaw that has a boat is we can dolphin watch when we want!

Look Who's Two
For starters, I know I am a couple months late, but I have realized lately that I will want this to look back at this. And if I don't I hope Finley will.
Back to my title - Look Who's Two! Well my little Finley girl, you are growing up to be such a beautiful girl. Your daddy and I love you to the moon and back. You fill our lives with so many laughs, tears, joy and happiness.
For your special day, momma wanted to keep it simple with just family and a few friends. The weather was windy, but enjoyable. You were able to hang out with your cousin Corbyn and ALL your grandparents. Your grammy did a fantastic chocolate - vanilla birthday cake, along with your Aunt Lisa adding some of her own creative pieces to make it look like Minnie Mouse.
Thanks to everyone who helped us celebrate!

She was so excited about all of us singing to her. She started clapping!

Finley's 2 Year Well Baby Check
Two year stats:
30 lbs. (90%)
35 in. tall (90%)
Your Nana has always said if you double your height at 2 years old, we could estimate that you could be that tall when you are older. Which would mean you would be 70" or 5' 10". With a mommy that's 5' and a daddy that's 6'4", I guess that wouldn't be impossible...
You are such a sweet little girl and always have been. At two years old, you are such a daddy's girl! At times it frustrating, but other times I love it. Your relationship with your daddy will continue to grow as mine did with my dad.
