Our Florida trip

One of our family vacations this year was to The Villages, Florida. We flew to Orlando with my parents to visit my grandparents. I am a very nervous flyer, not to mention we had our 13 month old flying with us.  I had been told that Finley would most likely fall asleep during take-off… What was I thinking? Let’s just say we all made it safely, and Finley fell asleep during our descent! While we were in Florida, we went to Disney World, my dad and Jeremy played golf, we ate out, Finley learned to WALK, we rode around in golf carts and spent some much needed grandparent time!

Who said riding Dumbo was just for kids! Did I mention that it was my FIRST time to Disney World?

We had such a great time while vacationing in Florida this summer and can't wait to go back when Finley gets bigger!

We are back!

I can’t believe it has taken me this long to get back to our blog, but my cup had runneth over. No need to explain details, all of you moms out there know exactly what I mean. While I was away, we endured several things like, Finley’s first birthday, Finley’s first plane ride to Orlando, Florida, Disney World, a family trip to Lake LBJ, celebrated my cousin Corbyn’s birthday and spent lots of time with mommy and daddy!

So to start it off, we celebrated our little girl’s FIRST birthday party! Finley had all 3 sets of her grandparents, aunt and uncle, cousins and best friends help her celebrate. It turned out to be a great day outside, so we did it up right with burgers, brats and cake!

Wordless Wednesday

Ten Months

Mommy has fell behind the last couple of months, but here is your Ten Month update:

Wow, I can’t believe you are already 10 months! In two short months, you will be one. Don’t think I am quite ready for that just yet.

- 20lbs. per our scale at home
- Size 3 diapers
- Wear 9-12 months clothes
- Jammies are mostly 12 months
- Hair is growing like a weed
- Had your (third) – FIRST haircut, but at a real salon this time! You sat in the airplane!
- Walking with your walker (pictures to come; so cute)
- I’m hopeful that you will be walking by your birthday.
- Got your second bottom tooth
- We had your 10 month pictures taken (http://www.robinwinklesphotography.com/Favorites/finley)
- You still love your sleep
- Said “Momma” and “Nana” in the same weekend, but “Da-da” and “Bye-Bye” are still your favorite words

I love this stage of your life, you love to cuddle, play and your laughs just light of my day!

Nine Months

Finley Ann you are growing like a weed. Here are a few things you are up to:

- 18.8 lbs
- Wearing size 2-3 diapers(of what we have left) and then it's onto 3's
- Wearing mostly 9 months clothes
- The crawling has gotten out of control; I underestimate how fast you can get from Point A to Point B.
- Furniture surfing is your thing this month. You aren't very fast, but I'm sure by my next post it won't even be a discussion.
- Were diagnosed with Bronchiolitis and a slight ear infection.
- A few short weeks later you had your first stomach virus. It was awful! I know, bad month for you being sick.
